Test Shots - ready to run

Thanks to all the NT ladies , Annie Lovell  and of course, the best beloved daughter photographer,  for the great photo shoot recently  in London.  Having got up horribly early to pack up the car, I stopped on the way at the Hammersmith Vintage Fashion Fair to buy more stock. There were some truly inspirational dresses on sale and I bought some more glorious iconic 50s dresses to add to stock. My particular favourites were the Channelle bouffant chiffon strapless dress with exquisite flower details on the hem, the stunning deep pink sleeveless glazed cotton dress with large bow belt,  a rare chintz coat dress ( very SJP)and the prettiest and rare short lace wedding dress with stunning skirt detail.  Teemed with items from Winchester Vintage’s extensive  jewellery collection, I think the photos show that Winchester Vintage is pretty much up and ready for trading. And that’s not even with the hats, bags, gloves and vintage dress-making service!
Here are a few examples of current stock.

What to wear for a Royal Wedding vintage style

Blog – Royal Wedding Day – 29/04/11
Watching and loving the Royal Wedding – thought I’d put together 3 vintage wedding looks for your delectation!
First is a late 50s silk rose print dress, with beautiful draping. I have teamed this with pink feather hat, pearl/crystal two-strand necklace, pearl dome earrings, white long matt satin gloves and white clutch bag. Plus alternative jewellery options.

Second option is a beautiful petrol blue sleeveless 1950s dress with dropped waist. Teemed with osprey feathered 50s fascinator, blue crystal demi-parure, long black chiffon gloves and small black 60s handbag. Again, more jewellery options.

Third option – fantastic 50s black and white sleeveless 2-tiered bubble dress (similar to one worn by SJP in SATC).   Worn with black feather hat, pearl necklace and earrings, black or white long gloves and black handbag.

Hope you like these ideas – will all be for sale shortly on new website.

The Perfect Spring Dress

Vintage fashion does not mean looking like a refugee from the Sunday evening serial!  It can easily reflect current trends, mixed with individual character and style.

Winchester Vintage loves the fun and challenge of matching current “must haves” with the craftsmanship and pizzazz of 50s and 60s fashion and at a price that meets all pockets.

Dress: Late 1950s Peter Barron
Take this dress: putting its interpretation on this summer’s key trends of Peter Pan collar; striking floral pattern; and colour blocking.

Mixed with delicious accessories – a sure bet for a summer wedding, Royal Ascot or a night out with the girls!

A couple of suggestions below! If you like any of the pieces, everything you see here is for sale. Contact me for details
